Betty L. Mabee, a philanthropist who with her husband, John, built one of California’s leading Thoroughbred breeding farms in the hills of Ramona, died Monday. Mary Elizabeth Florsheim Bradley, who was the owner of several major stakes winners in the 1970s and ’80s, died of natural causes at her Rancho Santa Fe home on Feb. 5 at the age of 90.
