Man convicted of ‘94 killing during robbery

A man who was 17 years old when he shot a woman in the back during a robbery near her City Heights apartment more than 15 years ago was convicted Tuesday of first-degree murder.

A 24-year-old man was hospitalized Monday with stab wounds suffered in an apparent gang-related attack in City Heights, police said.
The stabbing near El Cajon Boulevard and Estrella Avenue occurred around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.

Tweeners rob ice cream vendor in City Heights

A man was found dead Monday morning outside a house in City Heights, police said.
Homicide detectives were called to investigate the death on 42nd Street, near Landis Street, shortly before 6 a.m., according to San Diego police.

Sex offender arrested for alleged kidnapping
