Even having met dozens of celebrities, I still find interfacing with fame fascinating. The folks you expect to be super fun seldom are and the ones who shouldn’t be affected by their 15 minutes almost always are.  Nevermind how different these VIPs usually look in person than on TV or in glossy gossips.

This past weekend Bridget Marquardt from “The Girls Next Door” and Playmate of the Year Sara Underwood hosted the OBC Million Dollar Sweepstakes at Stingaree.

Pause.  First, no, Sara Underwood is not also an American Idol star.  That’s Carrie, which is confusing because Bridget looks like her.  Second, OBC is short for OnlineBootyCall.com, a locally-based website that connects people looking for, obviously, booty. Cheeky though it may sound, they have a budding business and, let’s be honest, a definite market. And if Match.com and JDate can make a buck on love, why can’t OBC get in on the action, literally?  Unpause.

I’ve found that how big an ego the “star” has is inversely proportionate to how famous they are.  Meaning, less star power equals more self-importance.   For example, refusing to pose on the step and repeat for photos even though you’re contractually obligated. **cough, cough Bridget ** Instead, she bee-lined to the Penthouse with new, Hef-approved beau, Nick Carpenter and danced about in a hot pink tiered skirt that looked more like it belonged at a Tainted Love concert at Canes than at Sting. Sorry to be mean, but neither Ladies of the Night would have been called fashionistas on Saturday. However, I will say that Sara is a tiny little thing and quite pretty and that I’m very impressed that Bridget’s ample bosom is 100 percent au naturale (and she’s the only Hef girlfriend to boast this).

The girls hung out until close and drank champagne and Kettle One cocktails with San Diego Charger Kassim Osgood.  Sources will not confirm if Kassim left with the girls in the Sting Hummer at close or not.  If he did, what would Hef say?!
