A 32-year-old man whose body was found submerged in the pool at his Rancho Penasquitos apartment complex was identified Saturday, but a ruling on how he died is still pending.

The Medical Examiner’s Office is scheduled to perform an autopsy on Gang Wu in the next couple of days, an investigator said, which will help determine if the married Chinese national drowned.

Wu’s body was found about 8:20 a.m. Thursday in the pool of his apartment complex in the 13000 block of Rancho Penasquitos Boulevard, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Wu lived there with roommates and co-workers, the coroner said. He worked for an international bioscience company, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
