Hemet police investigating gang-related killing
The shooting was reported about 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at the Mountain View Townhomes in the 1100 block of East Whittier Avenue.
A person was fatally shot in a housing community in Hemet and a search was under way early today for suspects, police said.
The shooting was reported about 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at the Mountain View Townhomes in the 1100 block of East Whittier Avenue, according to Hemet Police Sgt. Matt Hess.
Multiple shots were fired and a male victim was located, Hess said in a statement. The victim was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
Investigators were called out and based on interviews and unspecified evidence at the scene the shooting was being investigated as gang-related.
