City Heights gang shooting injures two

Two people were shot and injured Sunday in a gang-related incident in a City Heights apartment complex, a San Diego police officer said.
One male victim was hit in the chest, and another hit in the hand, around 4:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of 44th Street, Officer Jane Jacobsen said.
While both people were hurt, witnesses only heard one gunshot, Jacobsen said. Their official conditions were not available.
The gunman escaped and remained at-large as of mid-morning, she said.
