Oceanside High teacher arrested on sex charges

A 37-year-old North County high school teacher was arrested Thursday for allegedly carrying on a sexual relationship with an underage student over a two-year period.

Detectives with the Oceanside Police Department arrested Corey Hogue, a health and physical education instructor at Oceanside High School, during a traffic stop about noon, OPD Sgt. Kelan Poorman said.

The married father of two allegedly began having sex with the girl when she was 15. The crimes purportedly occurred at his home.

Hogue has been employed by the Oceanside School District since August 2006. Previously, he was a teacher at Orange Glen High School in Escondido, police said.

He has been placed on leave from his job pending the outcome of the criminal case against him, according to Poorman.

Hogue was expected to be booked into Vista Jail on suspicion of rape and lewd acts with a minor, the sergeant said.

This is happening all over the country. Go to http://www.schoolteachernews.com and click on the Scandal page. This year they have documented over 400 of these types of incidents. In 2008 they found 478 of these kinds of cases.

I know this man and his family. It is very difficult for me to believe this and instead of trying him in the media why don’t you all wait for the outcome. This man is well respected with a beautiful family. INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. Arrest does not equal guilt!!

ok firts of all i dont think its considered rape if it kept goin on for 2 yrs.nd she had told other people she had sexual relation ship with mr.houge…so dat girl is nuts speaking up after 2 yrs. after it occured nd i got to this skool nd ive heard alot of stuff about this chick….so she needs to not call it rape espacially after 2 yrs nd on ur senior yr.?hmmmmmm how suspicious….

rumors say that she only told on him bc he wanted to end the relationship with her thats why she told the police she was raped idk but thats what they say
