Bicyclist without helmet critically injured
A 44-year-old man who was not wearing a helmet was critically injured Saturday when he fell off his bicycle in La Jolla and struck his head, a San Diego police officer said.
The man fell off the bike around 2 p.m. while making a right turn from Lowry Terrace to El Paseo Grande, near Spindrift Golf Course, said Officer Brad
Ruff.
The man was not wearing a helmet and struck his head on the pavement, Ruff said.
Witnesses said he was traveling around 25 mph when he crashed, Ruff said.

The time of the accident was around 1pm the 911 call was made at 1:11PM
