Earthquake hits northeast San Diego

A magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck northeast of San Diego Wednesday, but no injuries or damage were reported.

The earthquake struck at 7:27 p.m. about 71 miles east northeast of San Diego and 43 miles northwest of El Centro, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

San Diego County sheriff’s dispatchers and a San Diego police official said they had not received any reports of injuries or damage due to the tremor.
