Pendleton Marine dies in Afghanistan

The Pentagon Tuesday identified a 26-year-old Camp Pendleton-based Marine killed in combat in Afghanistan last week.
Sgt. Charles I. Cartwright of Union Bridge, Md., died in Farah Province on Saturday, according to the Department of Defense. Cartwright was a member of the 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command.
