Motorcyclist killed on Miramar
A man was killed Friday when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car on Miramar Road, police said.
The accident near Camino Ruiz was reported shortly after 9:30 a.m., according to San Diego police. Medics took the injured man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police shut down the westbound side of the thoroughfare — where the crash occurred — and all but one eastbound lane to allow for investigations and cleanup.
The motorcyclist’s name was withheld pending notification of his family.
