Masked gunman robs North County gas station
A masked gunman dressed in black from head to toe robbed a North County gas station Wednesday, a sheriff’s official reported.
The thief entered the Shell station in the 800 block of South Rancho Santa Fe Road in San Marcos shortly before 4:30 a.m., pointed a pistol at a clerk and demanded money, Sgt. Charles Cinnamo said.
The bandit fled the area on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.
In addition to his black garments, which included gloves and a knit cap, the robber had a red bandana over the lower half of his face, according to Cinnamo.
