A 58-year-old man was attempting to cross the highway when he was struck by an SUV, according the report.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
California Highway Patrol investigators are trying to determine the cause of the accident, according to the coroner’s office.

that is really sad. I was riding north on that night and I saw the fire trucks and the body covered with a white sheet. Actually my son was taking me home. That is sad.
