The attack, which led to the arrest of one man, took place at about 11:55 p.m. Friday at the Skybox Grill & Tavern on the 30700 block of Benton Road.

Deputies today are looking for one of two men who assaulted another man outside a tavern outside Murrieta, according to a sheriff’s spokesman.

The attack, which led to the arrest of one man, took place at about 11:55 p.m. Friday at the Skybox Grill & Tavern on the 30700 block of Benton Road in French Valley, said Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Mark Potter.

Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived to find a 32-year-old victim who had been assaulted by two other men outside the bar.

He was treated at the scene for trauma to his head and mouth and then transported to an area hospital, according to Sgt. Potter.

The two assailants had already fled the scene by the time deputies arrived but further investigation led deputies to a home near the 36000 block of Brietner Way, Sgt. Potter said.

Deputies arrested Abel Gomez, 32, of Wildomar, according to Sgt. Potter. He is currently being held at Southwest Detention Center for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Deputies are still searching for the second suspect. He is described as a Hispanic man in his mid 30s, about 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing about 270 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie sweatshire and a white baseball cap, according to Sgt. Potter.

Deputies asked anyone with information about the incident to contact Deputy Harrell at 951-696-3000, according to Potter.
