People arrested at drunk driving check point
Four people were arrested on suspicion of drunken driving during an Imperial Beach Halloween weekend checkpoint, a San Diego County sheriff’s official said Saturday.
One of the drivers arrested was on probation for a previous drunken driving conviction, said Sgt. Jose Sanchez. Sheriff’s officials set up a checkpoint on the 900 block of Palm Avenue. Nearly 900 vehicles passed through the checkpoint from 7:30 p.m. Friday to 2:30 a.m. today, Sanchez said.
Two people were cited for driving without a valid license and four people were cited for driving with a suspended or revoked license, according to the sergeant.
