–Vice-Chairman of Cushman & Wakefield Global Real Estate Solutions which purchased Burnham Real Estate Services in 2008. The company was started by his grandfather, and the roots date back to 1891. It grew to become one of the largest independent real estate brokerage firms in the southwest U.S.

–Former chairman of the board, The Burnham Institute for Medical Research

–Former chairman of the board, San Diego Hall of Champions Foundation

–Current board member, UCSD Foundation, UC San Diego Rady School of Management, Campanile Foundation (SDSU) and the USS Midway Museum

–Former Trustee, Stanford University, 1985-1995

–Co-established the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate at the University of San Diego

–Former partner/owner of the San Diego Padres and the San Diego Sockers

–Youngest skipper (17 years old) to win a World Championship in the International Star Class

–General Manager of Dennis Conner’s successful 1987 America’s Cup victory in Australia and served as chairman of the Cup in 1988 and 1992.

–Honors include Junior Achievement/San Diego Business Hall of Fame, 2002; Philanthropist of the Year, National Society of Fund Raising Executives, 2000; Mr. San Diego, Rotary Club of San Diego, 1998; and Gold Spike Award, Stanford University, 1996.
