Jay Riordan heads Poway Center for Performing Arts Business Council

He's EVERYwhere in RB

San Diego: Jay Riordan, Business Council Chairman

Jay Riordan, Business Council Chairman

If you don’t know Jay Riordan, you haven’t been out and about much in Rancho Bernardo. He is pretty much EVERYwhere.

His newest leadership post is as chair of the Business Council of the Poway Center for Performing Arts Foundation’s Business Council, a group that supports the professional performance series at the center as well as its educational arts outreach program.

Riordan will be busy during his tenure meeting with individual Business Council members to explore ways they might help the foundation including buying show tickets, sponsoring and participating in the annual golf/gala event, and introducing customers and friends to the center.

Last weekend Riordan led by example in hosting his own clients and friends to a ’stageside soiree’ for the center’s season opener, a sold-out performance for rock guitarist Dave Mason. Riordan’s guests were seated in the orchestra pit and were served snacks and libations during the performance.

Chicago born, but San Diego raised, Riordan started Dream Design Builders in 1987, a company that was recently named one of the Top 50 Remodelers in the country by Remodeling magazine.

The Riordan family moved to Rancho Bernardo in 1997 and Jay has been busy giving back both professionally and personally.

He is a member of CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), the Sunrise Rotary, and on the board of the Rancho Bernardo Community Council.

He also supports the San Diego North Chamber of Commerce and the Rancho Bernardo Business Association.

…and no doubt he’ll be at the Poway Center October 24th for the next show, a presentation of Ralph Stanley (of Bluegrass Royalty) and Cherryholmes (Bluegrass on steroids)

If you’d like to join the fun at the center go to www.powayarts.org.
