Couple steals coffee shop ATM machine with a handcart

A man and a woman walked off with an ATM on a hand cart in the College area Wednesdaymorning, police said.
The couple was spotted wheeling the cash machine down the street near 67th Street and El Cajon Boulevard around 6 a.m., according to San Diego police Sgt. Ray Battrick. The ATM was reported stolen from the Daily Grind Coffee House and Cafe on El Cajon Boulevard.
The man was described as around 6 feet and 200 pounds, with a medium to large build. His companion was of medium height and build with blonde shoulder-length hair.
Police were searching the area for the couple.

No GPS? Nothing to bolt or chain the ATM in place? Sounds like this coffee shop was asking for it.

Yes, Josh, it was bolted down, cemented in, and had a GPS, and they found it because of the GPS.
The Coffee shop had rented the space to the owner of the machine, and it was recovered, with the GPS data. Doubt of those who stole it will be out and about for a while.
