One man was shot in the chest when a group of men crashed a party in Logan Heights early Saturday and started a fight, police said.
The party was underway in the 3100 block of Imperial Avenue about 1:45 a.m. when the fight began and someone fired a shot, hitting the victim, said San Diego police Sgt. J. Steffen.
The victim, whose name was withheld, was taken to UC-San Diego Medical Center. His wounds were not life-threatening and he is expected to survive, Steffen said.
Gang unit detectives are investigating the attack.
