One interesting thing I heard recently is that the traditional Dunbar's number of 150 is being broken down by SM.
What I've learned is that SM allows for seeing our brand as others see it...sometimes a painful (but certainly necessary) undertaking.

And my own personal experience with SM is that I've been able to establish my little company as a leader in my chosen communities. Using the platforms of Twitter, LinkedIn and other social networks relevant to my industry, the time commitment has been extensive. But the monetary investment? Nil. Ahhh, now that's heaven for a small business!!

Great, insightful recap of this event. Wish I could have attended, so this is certainly appreciated :-)

Hi Helen,

Thank you for your great recap of Red Door's Social Media panel yesterday! I work with Jamie Dicken at Brickfish, and she said she had a wonderful time.

I did want to call out that there are a couple places in your posting where you refer to her as Dickson and Dickens--I was hoping maybe you could change those references to Dicken.

If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line.

Best,

Ashley

Rick--you're right. It always has been about engagement. Truly a priniciple that doesn't change.

"Im tired leave me alone" sounds like something a 12 year old sheepdog would say!

Good for them for "getting it".

It's all about engagement with
the end user isn't it?

Funny thing is it always has been
technology is just making it easier lately.
