We’re looking for an editor for our soon-to-launch Southwest Riverside News Network.

This individual will be responsible for implementing the SWRNN editorial vision. SWRNN is the first affiliate of San Diego News Network, a network of fast-growing hyper-local interactive news and information Web sites.

As an affiliate of SDNN, SWRNN will be a part of creating the newsroom of the future. The SWRNN editor will be responsible for covering Temecula/Lake Elsinore including writing stories; posting content; taking photos and videos; hiring and editing free-lance writers, bloggers and columnists; representing SWRNN in the community; and managing relationships with media partners.

Required attributes: At least three years experience in online journalism. Must live in Temecula/Lake Elsinore or be familiar with the area. Excellent writing and oral communications skills, familiarity with PhotoShop, content management systems. Sense of humor, attitude, passion, commitment, creativity, flexibility. This is a start-up, and we are making and breaking new rules every day.
