Lake Murray man attempts to fight with officer
A man who appeared to be hurt on a street near Lake Murray fought with an officer who tried to check on him Saturday, police said.
Police were called around 1:30 p.m. to check on a main in apparent pain in the 5700 block of Waring Road, San Diego police Officer Erich Bennett said.
The man assaulted the officer who responded and ran off, Bennett said. A number of other officers went to the scene and found the man a couple of blocks away.
Bennett said after the officers wrestled the man to the ground, he required medical attention.
