Man falls to his death off cliff at Kwaaymii Point
A man hiking with some friends in Pine Valley strayed from the group and fell off a cliff to his death, a sheriff’s lieutenant said Thursday.
The accident at Kwaaymii Point, near Sunrise Highway, occurred Wednesday night, according to San Diego County sheriff’s Lt. Sylvester Washington.
Prior to the fall, the man told his friends he wanted to take another route but they advised against it and he went alone, Washington said. The victim’s name was withheld pending family notification.
