Adam Lambert is on Twitter, spokesperson confirms

Adam Lambert posted his first tweet on June 11, 2009 at 9:11 p.m., according to his Twitter account.
(@therealGlambert) yes folks, this is FINAAAAAAALLY ADAM!!!,” he said.
Lambert’s media representative confirmed Friday that @therealGlambert is Lambert’s legitimate Twitter account.
Several Lambert imposters have created accounts over the past several months.
One such account, @Adam_Lambert, features over 40,000 followers and a picture of a pensive Lambert considering the sunset. The page @TheAdamLambert was removed from Twitter on Monday.
Lambert’s Twitter bio says, “Finally here to shut down the posers.”
As of Friday afternoon, Lambert had 13,801 followers but was only following 13 people himself, a surprising collection of not instantly-recognizable dancers, musicians and actors.
In an interview last month, Lambert, the “American Idol” finalist who grew up in San Diego, said he did not know a lot about Twitter because the social media site was just getting started when he entered the “Idol” competition.
“Idol” regulations prevent contestants from participating in any type of social media, including Facebook and Twitter.
“I keep hearing about it, and I’m excited to give it a try,” Lambert said.
Fan reaction has been pouring out with thousands of replies, questions and confessions of true love, but Lambert has yet to respond to anyone.
He posted another message four days after the first.
My album is gonna be siiiiiiiiick,” the tweet stated.
Lambert’s spokesperson declined comment as to whether Lambert would be posting his own tweets or if he will be twittering often.
Regardless, @therealGlambert, we’re all tw-ears.

If ‘Idol’ regulations prevent contestants from participating in any type of social media, including Facebook and Twitter. So the regulations have been lifted because a lot of the idols are on Twitter?

I saw the post on Matt Giraud’s Twitter page saying it is the “REAL” Adam Lambert, but I didn’t believe it because in the BIO Finally is misspelled Fianlly. Which I see Crabby also noticed & asked that Adam please correct the word.

I still don’t believe it is the real Adam Lambert!
1.) I find it hard to believe Adam would choose the name: therealGlambert (It sounds Fan Made)
2.) Why hasn’t he corrected his “Bio Fianlly here to shut down the posers”
“Fianlly” is spelled “Finally”
3.) He is following 13 UNKNOWN people:

he just posted his 3rd message…. and anyways about why he is not following stars, those he follows are his personal friends…. like cheeks….(u can see he is being followed by cheeks too)… he is just being real,u cant expect him to instantly just act to be so big and act chummy chummy w/ those whom he is not real connected to yet…and forget those who knows him before idol…funny though that he misspelled “finally”…i mean, cut him a slack guys… he is just human….

It is his real twitter. I was following his live chat on comcast and he confirmed it. So he typed a word wrong, geez! Either you are happy and follow him or go follow “the other guy”. *lol* I am happy as h***l! I started a twitter just to follow him. And, as happy as I am to hear his voice singing “Want” I am most looking forward to his debut album. Lots of Love, Adam!

How do you know that the LIVE COMCAST CHAT is the REAL ADAM LAMBERT? I will only believe if the twitter link is PUBLISHED in his Web site at http://adamofficial.com
Otherwise, this twitter account sounds so fake. And Adam does not say words like siiick or finaaaally or mis-spell words. He came from Mt. Carmel High which is a VERY good school.
Adam is very articulate and does not talk like a tween or teenager.

If that is his real account, Adam will just make a fool of himself in Twitter because he can’t even spell his friend’s name Alison. He spelled it as Alisan. If Adam can’t spell right, then he should avoid Twitter. He will just make a fool of himself and sound so uneducated.
