Earthquake strikes off San Diego coast

A magnitude-4.3 earthquake struck in the ocean 53 miles west of San Diego today, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake struck at 6 p.m., which was described as 34 miles east- southeast of San Clemente Island and 38 miles south-southeast of Catalina Island. The quake struck at a depth of 38 kilometers, according to the USGS. There were no immediate reports of tsunami warnings as a result of the temblor.
